
Janina Mackiewicz appointed as Director, Public Affairs and Communications of the Neova Terra division
Janina Mackiewicz, M.Soc.Sc has been appointed as Director, Public Affairs and Communications of the Neova Terra Division and a member of the Neova Terra Management Team as of 15 May 2025. Mackiewicz will report to Markus Tykkyläinen, the Deputy CEO of Neova Oy. Ahti Martikainen, Director of Communications and Public Affairs at Neova Oy, who is currently responsible for communications for Neova Group and Neova Terra, will retire on 31 August 2025. In the future, Susanna Inkinen, Chief Communications & Sustainability Officer at Kekkilä-BVB Oy, will be responsible for Martikainen’s Group-level communications tasks.
Mackiewicz has very extensive and solid work experience in public affairs and EU law. She will transfer to the position from Miltton Networks, where she has worked as a Senior Adviser. Mackiewicz’s work history consists of leadership positions in public affairs and consulting companies both in Finland and Europe, and in core advocacy positions, such as in Eurocadres, which represents six million professionals and managers. In addition, Mackiewicz has worked in the Finnish Parliament and the National Union of University Students in Finland..
Neova Terra is responsible for peat production, Neova’s land ownership and real estate development, i.e. the development of solar and wind power, as well as the production of new high-value-added products, such as activated carbon, biostimulants and animal feed raw materials. “What these businesses have in common is that their current state and future are very strongly influenced by EU legislation.
